Chris Galbraith
Owner/Chef
Chef Chris Galbraith was born and raised near the New Jersey shore, where good food and strong opinions are a way of life. He trained in classical technique at the New England Culinary Institute, then cooked his way through Boston, Martha’s Vineyard, New York City (including a Michelin-starred kitchen), Philadelphia, and more suburbs than he can count—learning along the way that great food doesn’t need to be complicated, it just needs to be done right, every time.
Now based in Delaware, Chris lives with his partner, four kids, two bernedoodles, two cats, a fish, and a frog. He’s a hardcore Philly sports fan, enjoys gardening, prefers food cooked by someone else, and considers the Outer Banks of North Carolina his happy place. A firm believer that today’s chefs would have been pirates 300 years ago, he brings serious technique, clear thinking, and a sense of humor to Peach Grove Market—making everyday food worth caring about, without the drama. -
Jared Rubin
Pastry Chef
A pastry chef with a background in copywriting and tending bar, Jared has been cooking professionally since 2009. He has made fancy French pastries and elevated American desserts, Michelin-starred seasonal tasting menus in Brooklyn, farmers market and Korean-inspired dishes in Los Angeles, a cinnamon roll startup, a bagel shop, a doughnut popup. Jared’s interests include contemporary fiction, Thai takeout, gin-and-tonics and convincing people that pies are better than cakes.
